"1971" is short film: a visual montage, a dream-like walk through history, a personal journey to reconnect with a homeland. It is an exploration of the cultural dissonance for a Bangladeshi-American when reflecting upon the troubling but forgotten saga of violence that birthed Bangladesh and the part that the U.S. played in it. ​
